Tipping Guidelines

We are often asked, "Should I Tip?" or "How Much should I tip?" Here is some information to help answer those questions.

Tipping your guide is certainly not mandatory - but is very much appreciated. There are also no hard and fast rules when it comes to tipping. It is to show appreciation to your guide for good service and enhancing your upland hunting adventure. Consider these points when offering a gratuity to your guide.

  1. Was your guide helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, and vigilant when it came to safety?
  2. Were his dogs well mannered, and helpful in providing you opportunities to harvest your birds, and locating and retrieving downed and crippled pheasants
  3. Did your guide and his dogs enhance your enjoyment and success of your pheasant hunting experience at Pheasant Run Outfitters.

If you feel that you would like to offer a tip to your guide, we would suggest 20.00 for each hunter in your party for each hunt as a guideline. It can be more and certainly can be less. It is up to your discretion and again it is not mandatory. A good hand shake and "Thank you" for a job well done can and should be added to any tip!!!

A hearty breakfast is served the next morning about 8:00 a.m. Your morning hunt starts at 9:00 a.m. and lasts until lunch or you run out of shells, whichever comes first!!. You will not find more professional guides, wonderful gun dogs, fantastic pheasant cover, and plenty of wild- hard flying pheasants, than here at Pheasant Run Outfitters. It is an experience that you will never forget. Your birds will be processed while you have lunch. Then you can depart until we see you again at Pheasant Run Outfitters
